So... I am entering into uncharted territory. Skype. This is what wikipedia tells us about Skype. I am able to use my laptop that has a webcam in it and see and talk to my friends and family. That might be difficult because I have yet to find a friend who is "skyping". I am able to communicate with my online instructor with skype so for right now she is who I am talking or skyping to. Have you tried it?? What do you think about it?

We love Skype. We actually have a Skype phone which we use as our home phone. It costs us $8 a month and we can call any landline and cell in the US and Mexico. And all landlines for over 100 countries around the world. Unlimited. It works for us because my whole family is back in Australia so it is definitely cheaper than any phone card or deal with a phone company.
Skype is so easy to use. I've noticed that it's bigger in Australia than here. The company I worked for in Australia used it to talk to overseas clients - it's a genius idea.
I did this years ago on Net meeting and it made me so uncomfortable. But years later the inventions have made things clearer and easier. I should probably do this with my niece who lives 4 hours away. Have fun with it and you might make some new friends.
