Where the Cash went Yesterday

Yesterday after church, I finished up my grocery shopping.  It seems to me that I spend a lot of money at the grocery store monthly, probably more than most do for just two people. I budgeted 200.00 dollars for two weeks.  Saturday I spent 58.00 at Winn Dixie and Sunday I spent 31.90 at Target (mostly meat) and 38.96 at Publix.  And then, I went to Walgreens to pick up  two 12 packs of soda and two frozen pizzas and toilet paper.  These items were on sale, and I spent 17.49 dollars.
Lets all all that up shall we?  A grand total of 147.00 dollars.  That leaves me 53.00 until NEXT Friday.  I have to add that we both pack a lunch for work, and my husband does require a lot of power-ade due to the type of work he does.  We live in Florida and the heat can be very intense if you have to work outside as he does.

We also took our Bulldog to get her nails clipped at Petco.  She is quite strong and I don't like to get in a wrestling match with her when I try to clip her.  They are much quicker and better at it than I am.   That was 10.00 dollars which I took out of the "Just in Case" envelope.  I have 70.00 dollars left in there.

Okay envelopes... we are going to work together here and not get too out of control.  The Cash and Carry system is going to work!

I am feeding 3 people on $125 per week so I don't think you are out of line on your food budget. We often have $ leftover which I then sock away toward another goal - I love it when there's $ leftover - you end up feeling you are doing such a great job lol!

We get someone to clip our cat's nails as well. She's way to quick and hates being held so it's worth it for us. We usually get them done at the vet when we're there for something else anyway, and sometimes they do it free and sometimes they charge us. Occasionally we do it ourselves or get a friend to help (it takes two people and B. doesn't like doing it at all).
