View from my porch |
After a tour of the house, Dad did say how much he like our house. (Even though he does not want to live there). My husband assured him we would make him as comfortable as possible. In fact, my husband is going to pick up some paint samples today so that my Mom can pick out the colors she would like for their rooms.
My oldest son will start painting the rooms as soon as we get the paint to him. We then have to re-do the bathroom for them to make it easier for them and us to give them a shower/bath. That will take some time, maybe a week... but after that we can start the move.
Mom is going for her MRI brain today, and we follow up for the results on Friday. I will keep you posted.

Beautiful photo. I have always like white picket fences.
Thanks Miss T! We love the view!
Lisa, the view is great. I am sorry about the health issues that your parents are having. Thinking of you!
That's a nice yard and view. I believe your dad will warm up to your house. It may just take a while as I can kind of understand why he doesn't want to move.
I'll hope for the best results for your mom.
What a beautiful view. It looks very relaxing. I hope it will help make the transition easier for your Dad.
{{Lisa}}I have just now caught up with your blog posts over the last couple of days! Wow. I missed a lot!!
What a wonderful thing you are doing for your parents...I'm sure your Dad will come around once he realizes its best for your Mom!
Just remember to take care of YOU too!
I'm so glad things are falling into place for you, financially.
Sending you {{hugs}}!!
The view is nice and peaceful! It can be difficult for some people to adjust to change in their lives. I know my dad does not want to move out of hid house where he lived there since 1992. It's good to hear that you are taking care of your parents.
Ahh... I love the space. I trust you're mom does well too! Best to you and yours.
I'm one who has trouble with change too. I pray that your Dad settles in well and quickly.
Best to you and yours. Everyone is a bit hesitant to change in the beginning. I'm sure your father will come around in a few weeks. Just stay patient with him and he will see that it's the best choice for everyone.
Thanks for your encouragement. I appreciate it!
I am with you, change is not something I do well with. I am trying to keep that in mind as we all go through this process. Thanks Little Lamb!
Mom LOVES it out there! She is ready to go!
The view can ease anyone's anxiety! Especially mine. :)
It is my honor to be able to take care of my parents.
Thanks Sharon!
it seems things around my place always happen in a fast and furious way! Hoping to get everyone moved out by the end of the month.
My daughter is always checking on me to make sure I am doing okay. (I love her so much)
All in all... things are going pretty good.
Thanks Pam! I hope my dad gets use to it too!
Thanks Rafiki! I understand why my dad does not want to move too. Change at his age can be extremely difficult. But it is about my mom right now. He will just have to adjust a little bit.
Hi Maria!
Thanks for your support!
