Without a doubt, I am a creature of habit. I have a set schedule for work and for things at home and rarely do I deviate from it. This could be a problem. At my job, I travel mid day to another facility. This happens every Tuesday and Friday and has been for about a year. Well, today I went to the afternoon facility and I did not have any patients on my schedule. It was blank. Nothing. Nada!
Hmmm..... so I pull the monthly schedule out of my tote and low and behold I am off this afternoon. No sooner did I confirm this with the supervisor, I clocked out, picked up my belongings and headed home. I am thrilled with having the afternoon off. It is a beautiful day outside and I am going to enjoy it to the fullest!

I love schedules and planning ahead. Seems that my life is more orginized that way. :-)
I understand this completely. I'm also a person who depends on routine, and it's hard to incorporate or remove something in my normal day!
I will definitely be checking the schedule and not take it for granted that there are no changes.
