CVS Savings
It has been awhile since I have shopped at CVS. In the past, I would go to CVS a couple of times a week to stock up on deals. That was when I would have a coupon for just about everything, and then use my accumulated ECB's (Extra Care Bucks) with successful shopping excursions that would result in very little money being spent. But really...... how much toothpaste and dish liquid does one family need? At one time, I had over thirty tubes of toothpaste, and a couple of dozen bottles of dish liquid. Stockpiling was definitely an addiction!
Today, I went to CVS because they had coke 12 packs on sale. Their deal was if you spent 15 dollars on coke or Planters products you would get $5 in ECB's. So here is what I bought:
1st transaction: 3 twelve packs of Coke Zero 9.00
2 cans of planters cashews 6.00
15.59 paid Saved: 13.05 5.00 ECB
2nd transaction: 2 bags of M&M candies 5.00
(value size/big bag) 5.33
-5.00 ECB
.33 paid Saved: 7.98 1.00 ECB
3rd transaction: 2 cns Campbell's tomato 1.00
Soup 1.00
-1.00 ECB Saved 1.98
00
Total Savings today at CVS 23.00 dollars! The regular price of all the items if I did not buy them on sale and use the ECB's would have been 39.00 The above items cost me only 15.92. Not bad for coupons and a last minute trip.
