Debt Free Journey

While visiting some of my favorite blogs, I found this particular post by Melissa at "Mom's Plans."
She is posting weekly about her debt free journey and how she is becoming Gazelle intense about eliminating her debt.  Her post motivated me to "borrow" her idea and do the same since my husband and I are dedicated to getting rid of our Stupid Credit Card Debt by the end of 2012

What are the steps that we are going to take to accomplish this?  We are going to continue listing items on Ebay.  For the last two months, sales have been steadily increasing.  I have been researching what items are more profitable to buy at thrift stores and we have been able to increase our profits with these purchases alone.  Of course  there are items that do not sell as quickly, but we have decided to give most of the items in our Ebay store at least one year before we remove them.

Profits from Ebay this month:  $350.00

Another avenue of income has been blogging.  I enjoy blogging and reading other people's blogs and having the opportunity to make money with blogging has been a blessing.  At first, I was not sure if I wanted to monetize my blog, but I am glad I did.  Now I am  considering branching out and becoming more active on my thrifting blog "A Happy Girl Collectiblesand build up the readership and share more of my thrifting tips.  As of late, I have not been that active on that blog and it shares some of my posts from this blog.

Blog Income This Month:  $350.00

Next week, I will collect all of the cups of spare change we have sitting around the house.  I know that we have one in the kitchen, one in the bedroom and another cup of change in my car.  I don't know how much is in there, but I am estimating at least $50.00.    I will take it to a coinstar machine and turn it in.  I know, I have to give them around 9%, but I just want to get it counted and apply it to my debt.

Total Applied to Credit Card Debt:  $700.00

Credit Card Balance:  $11,608.00
