Checking In Tuesday: Feeling Normal

Add caption
This past weekend was busy and productive.  The bathroom remodel is still underway.  The lighting was finished up by my son.  We put a light (waterproof) in the shower ceiling, this definitely brightens things up.  The second coat of paint has been applied.  Now, my husband has has to install the vanity and toilet and that should be it.  He is finishing it up a little bit each day after work.  I have been finishing up my mom's room and now am working on my dad's room.  We are ordering a recliner (just like the one he has at his house) this week.  If and when they do come out to stay with us, we want the transition to be a smooth as possible.

Spring is definitely here and the weather is beautiful.   Most of the weekend was spent outdoors cleaning up the yard and pulling weeds.   My grandson was visiting with us Saturday and stayed the night.  I tell ya, when he is here, not much gets done at all.  After he went home Sunday afternoon, I was able to get back in the Spring Cleaning groove and tidy up the garage which is now home to my eBay business.   I have come to the conclusion that it is just about impossible to "tidy up" other people's junk.  And I say "junk" in a good way.  That "junk" can be quite profitable and helps me to support my family.  But, there is just no good way to make it all look neat.  At least I know where everything is!

I hope your week is wonderfully productive too!

Thanks for the mention, always appreciated! As for both your parents living with you, that is quite brave. Even when you like and love your parents. I know it's hard, I spent a lot of time with my grandmother. Luckily my brother lives a bit closer than I do, so it's easier for them to stay with him. (Granted it is 30 minutes vs. 45, but still). Good luck on the remodel!

Doing a remodel on your own, that's brave! I have plans to have my floors redone, but I'm definetely not doing it myself. My knees and back won't take it. Good luck!

You know, I think that would be a fun business to be in when I retire - the Ebay business! The idea of "buying low" and "selling high(ish)" really appeals to me and I love to go thrifting!

eBay is a lot of work Jane. I do enjoy it though!

Hi Karl,
Thanks so much for the kind words. The parents are still at their house,,, so hopefully mom will be strong enough to take care of them both. They are really happy in their own home. A phone call can change it all ......
