If you have been reading my blog for any length of time, you know my mom has been seriously ill fighting metastatic cancer. She has undergone radiation to get rid of the cancer in her skull and for the past few months her blood work has been improving and she is doing remarkably well.
I have offered to take her on a trip back to Wisconsin to see her family and visit the village she grew up in. My family has figured out a schedule to take care of my dad so she won't have to worry about him.
She is still thinking about the offer. I think she would benefit greatly from the short getaway. We are still waiting on her decision. She said she needs to think about it and I understand that completely.

good to hear your mum is doing well. I hope she agrees to the trip. I took dad to visit his old childhood home before he moved away to the nursing home, it would be lovely to be able to have the trip, and the memories, with your mum.
