Grocery Shopping at Aldi's Today
This is my neighborhood Aldi's
Today I went to Aldi's and here is what I bought for a cost of 45.91
Then it was off to Publix to get dog food, worsterschire sauce,Tinactin, boiled eggs and paper towels.
I know someone who just moved to a new area and asked me what I knew about Publix grocery stores. We don't have any here. How do you find them? Are the prices good? or are the prices high except the sales? What do you think? BTW, they don't have an Aldi's in their area.
Publix stores provide their shoppers with a wonderful experience. The stores are clean and shelves are neat and tidy. There is always someone around to help you if you need it. That being said the prices do tend to reflect all of the above. You will spend more at Publix for the convenience. They do have good BOGO sales that you can stock up items and they will honor competitors coupons.
Have you tried the Aldi paper towels and other items you purchased at Publix (besides the eggs and tinactin)? I have been pleasantly surprised with all of the Aldi items I have tried. Even their diapers! And they have the double guarantee (they will refund your money plus replace the item if you don't like it).
As for the eggs, I finally figured out how to do these! Place eggs in a pot & cover with water + a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil and then cover & remove from heat. Let sit for 20 minutes. Then put the eggs into ice water. The shells will peel right off and the eggs will be perfectly cooked.

We love the fresh produce at Aldi's. It's always really fresh and at a good price. It's the best buy in the store IMHO.

I know!!!! I cannot boil an egg to save my life! So being able to buy them ( husband packs them in his lunch daily) is worth the extra money :)
