Here is the definition of a Favicon from Wikipedia: "A favicon (short for favorites icon), also known as a shortcut icon, website icon, URL icon, or bookmark icon is a 16×16 pixel square icon associated with a particular website or webpage.[1] A web designer can create such an icon and install it into a website (or webpage) by several means, and most graphical web browsers will then make use of it. Browsers that provide favicon support typically display a page's favicon in the browser's address bar and next to the page's name in a list of bookmarks. Browsers that support a tabbed document interface typically show a page's favicon next to the page's title on the tab. Some programs allow the user to select an icon of their own from the hard drive and associate it with a website."
I had been trying to put up my own Favicon without much success. Finally..... tonight I did get it to appear!! I had to look at the directions Happy Blogging again. Being that I a more of a visual learner, I scrolled down to the images to see where and more importantly what to put on the Edit HTML page. I was able to make my little icon at ICONJ This site provides free generating and hosting of the image. See "Anonymous Favicon Hosting" for more details.
I love my little money tree/Favicon!!

Favicon Problems
I have been trying for what seems to be most of yesterday and some of this morning to successfully change the Blogger Favicon to my own Favicon. The Favicon is the little orange B that you see in the left corner of the web browser. You may have noticed that when you visit other blogs that they have cute Favicons that represent their blog. That is what I want. All attempts have failed miserably. What seems like an easy process, as demonstrated at Happy Blogging is just not working for me. Uggghhhh!!! Any suggestions or help would be welcome at this point.
