Just when I thought I could get most of my Christmas shopping completed, there was slight glitch in the plan. Part of my shopping was going to be accomplished using the Amazon gift cards that I have been accumulating with SwagBucks. Yesterday, I was online at Amazon, I had picked out the gift cards that I was going to get my teenage grandsons. The plan would have worked EXCEPT you can't purchase a gift card with a gift card!! Didn't figure that out until I read the fine print. I will definitely have to re-think my shopping strategy. Oh well, it will all work out!

Hmm I didn't know you couldn't buy gift cards with gift cards at amazon. good to know
It was shocker to me too! Definitely changes things...
I recently cashed in a gift card for cash to get what I wanted. Some people might think that they are losing out by doing this (you get a percentage of the value, not the full amount), but at the end of the day it got me what I wanted without me having to pay more from my own pocket. Thanks for the link love by the way!
Yea, unfortunately you cannot use gift card to purchase another gift card. Try that and failed too. Why don't you ask them what they want from amazon? Give them the amount that you would have given them via gift card.
You could just print something cute out with the gift card code on it so they could use it themselves...like make your own gift card...
I think that's like at most places... maybe they can give you a small wishlist?!
I was never really good at Swagbucks, I tried it but it's just so slow to get points. Then I moved to CashCrate and do those surveys but didn't really have the patience hehe. Thanks for mention :D
Ugh I hate when something like that happens!! I would not have thought of that either. I like the idea that femmefrugality had with printing a cute card with the code!
I didn't know that till recently either. Its a bit of a pain to try figure what people would want.
Thankfully, my wife does the shopping and buys the gifts. She started to make gifts years ago and personalizes the gifts.
