Friday's List of Things and Getting Back to Normal

Family Update:    Took mom to see her neuro onocologist on Wednesday to address the new issue of her seizures.  He again confirmed that the seizures are a result of the craniotomy scarring.  It is no one's fault it is just how the surgery healed.  The scarring is "tickling" her left side of the brain and now she is prone to seizures.  This doctor upped her anti-seizure medication and gave her a script for a sub-lingual pill to take when she feels a seizure coming on.

Her doctor also said she did not need to have 24 hour supervision which was a relief to both of us.  I was getting a wee bit homesick.  After we did some necessary grocery shopping and other errands, I went home Wednesday night.  Mom and dad want to stay in their home, which is totally understandable.

But, my husband and I have already discussed the future.  If mom does end up in the hospital again we are bringing my dad out here and when mom gets out of hospital we will bring here out here too.  I am tired of staying at their house and disrupting my life.  That does sound a bit cruel, but I think mom will get more rest if my dad is out here where my husband can help with the care of him too.

Financial Update:    Truthfully, I have not really paid too much attention to the financials the last couple of weeks.  This weekend I will be updating the checkbooks and move the money around to make good on the debt repayment and other financial goals.

I have been procrastinating a bit on this chore, but it will get done.

Today's Agenda:

1.  Pedicure with daughter.  ( I have missed spending time with her)

2.  Clean kitchen and hit the grocery store.  My husband is a drive thru kinda guy when I am not around.  I know there is wasted food in the fridge....

3.  List another 25 auctions on eBay.  Trying to get at least 200 items up for sale by the end of the month.

4. Sit on the porch and enjoy the view.  I have so missed my home.

How is your Friday going?

What all are you selling on eBay?.. Just random things from around the house, or do you have a regular stream going?

Also, thoughts and prayers for your mom.. Hope all is well.

Sorry to hear about your mother. I had no idea scarring could cause seizures. Moving to your home may be a good idea as your husband will also be available to help.
