"What's Up" Saturday!

She drives and I tell her where to go :)
Man, the weekend is here and it is going by so quickly!  My daughter called this morning and asked if I would go shopping with her.  She is going to a "redneck" wedding this afternoon and needed to find a cute top to go with her slacks jeans.  We went to Target, WalMart, Ross and JC Penny's.  She finally found two cute tops at JC Penny's.  After that I went to Aldi's and picked up some groceries for this week.   So far this week I have spent about 70.00 dollars on Groceries.   Not too bad, I still have $30.00 until next Thursday.

I still have a ton of stuff to do this weekend but it helps when I can break it down to a short list of daily goals.

Here is a short list of daily goals for today.

1.  Make bread.  This is so easy and we are really enjoying the taste. done

2.  Clean kitchen.  Bleach counters, and sink. done

3.  Decide on new paint color for spare room/my mom's room.  Not liking the yellow that is in there.  I have the color chips I want to use, a step in the right direction.

4.  Iron.  I try to think of ironing as a little mental therapy.  nope, tomorrow.

5.  Get back to my $500 Holiday Challenge.  Did some shopping yesterday and want to share the deals with ya.

Here is how Wednesday's Goals turned out:

1.  Call the county animal control to see if they have a spay/neuter program.  I have a fear that our English Bulldog is coming into heat again.  Animal control gave me a number of a low cost clinic.  They don't pick up and have left messages.

2.  Pass by the accountant and sign our taxes.  We have a refund coming!  Electronically filed.  Waiting for refund to hit the bank.

3.  Paint (for the fourth time) the yellow bedroom.  I can't wait to get this finished!   We are changing color.  I really don't like the yellow my mom picked out.

4.  Make time to visit Thrift Store(s) to search for living room curtains.      Nearly impossible to find four panels that are the same at the Thrift Store.  Off to JCPenny's.

5.  Send out more resumes and job applications.  Probably not.

If you have a Humane Society near you, I'd check them out. We got both of our dogs spayed/neutered for only $29. The humane society near us has a program with local vets and it's very cheap. There are no income requirements or anything. It's subsidized by donations.

Sounds like a great day! A redneck wedding - haven't heard of that before but sounds like a rootin' tootin' good time:) It's grey, cold and VERY windy here today so not much incentive to go out so I'm getting laundry done and sort of thinking about ironing lol!
