Planning For Thanksgiving

Since my surgery has been postponed, I will be having family over for Thanksgiving dinner this year. I prefer Turkey breasts instead of buying the whole turkey. It is easier and the majority of the family does not like dark meat. I saw that Albertson's had turkey breasts on sale for 3.29 a pound. I do not know if this is a great price or not. Will have to compare to Publix and Winn Dixie.

My mom will be bringing her mashed potatoes so I will not have to worry about that. My daughter in law will be bringing pies.....okay, so this is turning into more of a pot luck isn't it?

Well...as long as the family is together it could be japanese take out for all I care. :)

My entire family brings side dishes to my mom's house. We have a pretty big family. It spreads the responsibilty out and we get a good variety of foods. Great left overs too.

It's funny because I have to disagree, I think dark meat is the best part. Either way I do agree the holiday is more about the fact that the family is together than what you eat. Every family has their own traditions and food choices. It's about family tradition that counts. A lot of families have everyone bring a little something different eliminating costs.
