Transition

Recently I moved Cents-To-Save to a self hosting website. The move is in transition and should be complete in a day or two. I purchased my own domain name through Go Daddy with the help of Blogger. I was surprised at how easy it was to do. Both sites are current, and eventually ( I am going by what Blogger is telling me) the blog-spot blog should become a dot.com blog. Confusing, isn't it?

Since the transition, my blog-roll disappeared but I will be updating and adding my favorites today and tomorrow. I miss the blog-roll, because that is how I kept up with everyone. Here is hoping for a brief and smooth transition period! BlogBooster-The most productive way for mobile blogging. I noticed your url doesn't have blogspot in it now so hopefully all is proceeding as it should. I may do that one day also so will watch your transition with interest. Yes - I love my blogroll too - I can see every new post that you and others write and it makes it so much easier to keep posted on everyone's latest post (I used the word "post" way too many times in this comment:)
Good luck!

I've never heard of this in blogger. Why the change? Just curious. Even though I've been blogging for two years, sometimes I feel like I just started yesterday...I'm never good at keeping up with new technology...:)!

Sharon, I have been thinking about making "Cents To Save" its own domain for awhile. I just really did not know how to do it. I was "googling" on info it and discovered that it was pretty easy to do on Blogger. Go to your tool bar where you see "Posting, Comments, and Settings, etc." and click on "Publishing". Under advanced settings, you can buy (for only 10 dollars) your own domain. Go Daddy will check to see if your requested name is available and if so you can proceed. Now, I feel like CentsToSave.com is mine. I realize I have much more to learn... but I think its kinda cool for now. :)

It is a good move. I just barely moved myself and I am still wokring out quite a few things. How are you liking your new website? Is it easy to manage? It looks great!

You won't regret that move! Best thing I ever did was get off the wordpress site and become self-hosted.

I just moved from a self-host site (my workstation at home), to a shared site (Bluehost), and even then it was a battle getting my blogroll to transfer... so I feel your pain in this matter!!!

Nice blog site, this is my first time here!

Hi Money Reasons,
Thanks for stopping by! As it seems, I did purchase my own domain name.. but I am still powered by Blogger. Okay for now.. this is a learning process.

Your blog is great too!
