Monday Morning

The last four days were like a mini-vacation for my husband and myself.  Since we had celebrated Thanksgiving as a family earlier this month,  we were able to do pretty much what we wanted.  Thursday, (Thanksgiving) we did go and see our oldest son  who is currently single and we did not want him to spend Thanksgiving alone.  We picked him up at his home, and took him out to eat at Golden Corral (all you can eat) and then we took him to the movies to see "Unstoppable" with Denzel Washington.  "Unstoppable was a great movie, lots of action but not a lot of blood and guts.

After the movies, we went to pick up my grandson at my daughter's house.  He was spending the night with us!  After picking up the grandson, we dropped off our oldest at his house and headed home.  The next day, (Black Friday) was another busy day too!   I got up early to drop off our dog to get her groomed and to pick up my oldest son so he could help his dad and other brother rewire our church. The church rewiring took them all day, but they had a great time working together.  Two of our other grandsons were there to help as well.

After picking up the dog, my grandson and I headed to my moms house.  She loves to spend time with the baby and we all then went to the park for 3 hours.  At the time, it did not seem like we stayed there that long, but by the time we all got home we were pooped out!

My daughter picked up the grand baby, and I took a 2.5 hour nap! It was a long day. Saturday, was when we visited the Winery and that was great little day trip. We hope to go back there very soon!

Yesterday, was another busy day.  We took the dogs for walk around lunch time, and then we went to a local playhouse to see " A Christmas Carol".  That was a great play!  The local talent is wonderful and the Christmas Carols that were sung before and during the play really put me in the Christmas spirit.

A busy four days, but definitely a lot of fun!

Sounds as if you get as much out of spending time with your Grandchildren as I do. Glad you had a great Thanksgiving.

We had 5 days off and they flew by. and eventhough it seemed like we are having another vacation, it was somehow exhausting. Holidays... No time for napping. LOL
