Hello!!! I am still here!!

Hello!!!  Yes.... I am still here.  Or should I say... we are IN the NEW house.  Yoo Hoo!!   We officially moved in last weekend.  It was decided that we might as well just move in and then continue to do the renovations/changes/fixes while we are living here.  If we would have waited... well...... we would never have moved at all!  Here are some pictures of the inside of the house.  The above YELLOW room is one of the bedrooms.  Oh yeah.... It is bright.  Very Bright.  Can you say Primer??

This picture is of my Grandson's room.  It is a chocolate brown on two of the walls, and for now it will have to do.  There are more rooms that definitely need immediate attention.

For instance, the Lavender Kitchen and Lavender dining room.  Yep... It is definitely making a statement..... and that statement is "CHANGE ME"!!  First to go will be the Navy blue border..

Next...... is the living room.  Green.  You know... I like "bright colors" but these are definitely not my choice.  I think we will paint it this weekend.
Here is the living room and hall way.  The Hallway is a Caribbean Blue.  It is a contrast to be sure. Lol! So much work but we are not complaining.  We are grateful that we are here and are happy. Life is good.

Hi Lisa! Good to see that you've moved in...now the real fun starts!

Wow those colors are pretty bright. Will primer be enough to cover them up? Well at least they are bright and lively. Maybe it will send a positive vibe through the house until you add your touches.

Hopefully you enjoy painting and decorating (I do). You have your work cut out for you.

Glad you're still here!

I love painting, well the picking out of colors and the finished product, all that other stuff in between not so great, but it's necessary.

Hope you have fun!

Painting makes such a difference. It will look really nice when you're done. How nice for you to be in your new home and give it your own touches.

Fresh paint really does help it feel like home, and primer is cheap. Good luck getting settled!

(That Caribbean blue? I intentionally picked it for my dining room and love it. I got a shade darker for the adjoining living room but haven't painted yet. I love the bright colors!)

After my mother's death, my sister and I sold her home. I was in sympathy with the young couple who bought the home and said the first thing they wanted to do was paint--my mother's home was painted in very bright colors that she personally loved, much like the home you've bought. But when they invited me in to see the new look, it turned out they had painted every single room ORANGE!
