Yesterday Was My Last Day

Without a doubt, I knew that yesterday was my last day.  The writing was on the wall.  I normally work half a day on Monday's.  When checking my schedule for Monday, I noticed that it was blocked.  I asked the schedulers why, and they said it was because of maintenance. Yeah, right.   Fine, so I emailed the facility manager (since she would not answer my phone calls) and "surprise" she did not answer my Email.    After my last patient at 4PM, I went up front to talk face to face to the facility manager.  She was evasive, and could not make eye contact with me.

Not two minutes later, the general manager calls me into the tech work area along with the chief tech. "The vice president has decided not to do general ultrasound anymore. ( Bogus!)  The new direction we are going is to use the Service tech on a limited basis.  Granted the service tech is registered in Vascular and Echo, but the former HR knew my qualifications before she hired me.  Evidently she did not know the exact needs of the imaging facility.....

"Your position has been eliminated.  Today is your last day."   Fine.  Just fricking fine!  I went into my room, gathered my belongings and clocked out.

I shed a few tears on the drive home ( even though I was not happy there, getting fired is a new experience for me).  And after a dinner of pizza and chocolate, I felt much better.

Today is a new and wonderful day.  Great things are coming and God is in control.

Lisa,
I'm so sorry. I have a feeling that something great is now going to open up for you. Like you said, you didn't like it there anyway. Hopefully, you'll find something FABULOUS now that you are free to do so!

Oh Lisa. You will get through this, I just know it. I will be thinking of you and your family.

Good for you for enjoying your day!

I refuse to say I am sorry for this! I think it is more appropriate to celebrate! This opens the door wide for a zillion possibilities! I can't wait to see where life takes you. May your blessings match your possibilities in abundance!

Hi Borrower!
I totally agree with you! This is a wonderful time for me to explore what God has in store for me. Truthfully, a huge burden has been lifted.
Thanks for your support!
