Saturday Work and Play

This morning as the sun rises and before the rains come we will be mowing the yard.  It takes two mowers, the riding mower, and the push mower. I love yard work!  When I am out there mowing, I get so much time to think.  It is the best.

After mowing, I am headed back to Home Depot to return about $50.00 dollars in plants and take that money and get a  couple of truckloads of mulch.

After the yard work is done we are free to do what we want.  We have several options, watch the John Wayne marathon, go to the movies ( I have gift cards) or just hang out.

Hope you all have a great weekend too!

Hope you get to be on the rider ;-) Sounds more fun than being in an office! Then again, I can't be too busy here if I'm leaving comments right?

Since I live in a condo during the school year I have no yard work. We have a patio and it takes about 2 minutes to weed the flower beds. Today I chose to go to the farmer's market, read the paper, then sat outside at a Starbucks to people watch and read my book. Then I had a free dinner at Jambalaya (Michael works a couple of shifts a week there and the owners really like me:), then we went and sat on a patio and had a drink around 11pm. A perfect day.

Thanks for the link love Lisa!

I have a few chores like that - dishes and laundry come to mind. Even though I don't particularly enjoy doing them, I always get my best ideas when I'm doing them. It's usually when I brainstorm for blog posts... :)
