New Year, New Goals

As the new year fast approaches, the hustle and bustle of the season is slowly consuming my checkbook. I have shopped until I could drop! And I have shopped some more. Many of these excursions are to CVS and Walgreens. I love the challenge of using coupons and ECB's to save as much as possible.

Last minute trips to the grocery store ( just got back this morning from Publix) are the culprits of my budget. Talk about impulse buying! I only went in for Capri Sun (not even on sale, but the Sunday School kids like it) and left spending 60.00 dollars! Wow.

So next year, I aim to get a handle on the grocery bill! Get a budget going Lisa! Come on, You can Do it! Well, I can make a really nice budget( the numbers are all in agreement) but then I have to follow it. Not always easy. I like to shop and I like to cook. So I know my weaknesses. That alone puts me ahead of the game.

So, I am working on my goals for next year. This includes projects for the house inside and out. Also, will be personal goals such as weight, and saving money for retirement. Very vague right now, but I will definitely study, plan and post about it before the New Year.

Wishing all of you a Merry and Blessed Christmas!!

Sounds like we have a lot in common! I love shopping and cooking/baking! When I want to make something special, its always hard to find the ingredients at a low price.I used to spend more making 1 meal than I did shopping for the week! I've learned a lot since then. With a family of 5 and only 1 income,it can be tough these days.
