God is in control!

Out of the blue, I get a call yesterday afternoon. It is not a phone call you dread, but one that lets you know that God is working in your life, if you let him.

Let me explain.... I currently work in the imaging field as a sonographer. Ultrasound or Sonogram... same thing. I get to look at babies and other human body parts. I love my job. But while I have been working, the last few years I have been taking online courses at the local university so I could get a BS in Vocational Ed and Industry Training. I want to teach adults.

Well, as of late, I have been lax in finishing my degree. I am very close to being done, but I asked God to let me know what I should do about this semester. If I did not take a class at UCF (University of Central Florida) I would be dropped and when I decided to go back I would have to re-enroll and that is a headache.

But, I was really second guessing myself and was not sure that I really wanted the degree. I was content to just work, and serve my church with various activities such as the thrift store, dinners and so on.

So, back to the phone call.. My program director from (UCF) calls and leaves me a message that she need to talk to me about next semester. Oh dear. My stomach did that little flippy and I thought I might need to go to the bathroom before I called her back.

I hesitated and had a piece of cheesecake instead. Always self medicate with yummy food!
It was very good!

So I called her back and over the course of a 30 minute conversation, she is letting me teach as an intern for 6 hours of credit (I need 12 hours of internship to complete my degree) in one of her online classes in the program ( the whole program is online)and I am also taking another online class at the community college which is a prerequisite for the degree as well.

I am going to be very busy. Very, Very busy. But that is okay with me. I know that this is in God's plan and I am tickled that He wants me to finish my degree. I am looking forward to how God is going to use me and my degree in the future.
Just when you think you have it all planned out, God steps in and gets you going in His direction.

Praise the Lord!
