Note to Self

Dear Self:

You have again wasted money.  You have joined a gym AND you have engaged a personal trainer ( with money from graduation) to assist you in getting in shape.  Things were going well at first.  You lost weight, toned up and your clothes started to fit better.

Self.... you again repeated the cycle of overeating and non exercise.  Now you cannot even look your  trainer in the eye.  You know you are wasting his time and yours.  Yes, there has been drama in your life.  It seems that will never change.  So... Self... SNAP  OUT OF IT!!!  Get back on track... literally and figuratively

Invest in yourself.  Let go of the things you cannot change.  Embrace yourself and seek to improve your physical well being.

That is all.

I think you said it perfectly, invest in yourself.

P.S. Did you steal this note from my thoughts?

What a familiar story. A couple of weeks ago I posted a 2lb. loss then due to the drama in MY life regained it plus a couple more. Now I'm back to the original 2lb. loss - can I keep it going? Man my willpower just sucks! Its the self-loathing that comes with it that is so destructive however - we just need to embrace our muffintops and buy stretchy pants!

Personal trainer is big time! Well, can't put a price on health and fitness, so good job! :)

Niki @ Great minds think alike!

Jane @ when I read your response, I was giggling! Yes... we just need to learn how to embrace our muffin tops! LOL!

Financial Samurai @ When you get to a certain age, you want to try things at least once. I am at that age..( and with age comes wisdom) but that little adage is not true for everyone. This is why I blog :)

hahaha! Stop it! It is perfectly normal to overeat and take a break from the gym. I do it all the time. Plus, it is a holiday season. We all deserve some slack.
