Weekly Money Check Up

My Pretty Pennies has a weekly money check up that you can participate in.  She posts 5 questions that have fill in the blanks for you to answer and post. It is a time for you to reflect and think about your relationship with your finances.

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on groceries.  It seems that going to the grocery store unprepared is a huge money pit for me.
2. Today I feel positive towards money.
3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free/inexpensive thing I did last week that made me happy was take my grandson to the park.
4. I will consider this week a success if I use cash and no debit card for any purchases.
5. If I could grow one thing, it would be a lush green lawn.  I have weeds for a lawn.  I need to invest in a watering system for the yard... but that will have to happen after the debt is taken care of.

Lisa,
Cash really does work. In fact, I'm heading for the grocery store and purposely leaving my debit cards at home. (I better bring a calculator).
It really helps to reflect once a month, and I think this is a great idea!

I,m working on the cash only philosophy and it definitely works.

Working with cash only is definitely my downfall financially. I think it is a mental block for me too. If I don't have the money to buy what I think I need... I panic. It is crazy.. I know.

Just read about your grocery adventure with your debit card. I see why you vow to use cash for your purchasing.
