The best thing We Sold On EBay ~ #3 UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER

As I had mentioned before, my husband opened an Ebay Store to get rid of his excess automotive and hunting items.  Last month, he did pretty good.  His shift at the hospital is an early one.  So when he gets home we have been hitting up some of the local thrift stores to see what else we can find to sell.  Luckily, where we currently live has a plethora of Thrift stores, so there is always somewhere to go.

Recently I came across a great new blog, "Goodwill Haunting". She highlights some of her great finds that have really been money makers for her.  My husband and I have also come across some great finds too and we wanted to share them with you.

Buy It Now Price:  $19.99                                  Sold:  19.99

Paid:  .25 cents                                                     From:  Thrift Store

Ended:  Nov 1, 2011                                  Winner:  Orlando, Florida

There is definitely a demand for "Ugly Christmas Sweaters"!  We picked up this sweater for .25 cents.  It was fill a bag for $5.00 day at the thrift store, which happens to be my favorite time to go.  There is a big market for "Ugly Christmas Sweaters".  Many people have "Ugly Christmas Sweater" parties and hold contests for the tackiest or ugliest sweater.   Yeah, a whole room full of people in ugly Christmas sweaters makes for great photo ops!  And what is typical first prize?  Fruit Cake.

Needless to say, I am always on the look out for more great "Ugly Christmas Sweaters".  They are definitely profitable!

That sweater is ugly... but sort of cute, too! Sweaters like this can't help but make you smile... and I bet your smile is the biggest of all with that huge profit! Congrats!

This is hilarious. Who would have thought. I would not have ever bought this, even to sell, but kudos to you. That was definitely a risk.

Very cool. Do share any other ugly sweaters you sell! Very funny people pay for those kinds of sweaters. Those parties must be serious business!

Never would have imagined a market and even a whole party for such a thing.

That is a very awesome deal you made though. You could turn out to be a big shot at this. Kinda like the Warren Buffett of buying and selling thrift store items.

Congratulations.

Thanks Rafiki! The whole "Ugly Christmas Sweater" party concept is kinda mind boggling!

Yeah, I had read about finding ugly Christmas sweaters throughout the year, stocking up & listing them on eBay around Christmas time.

Big $$$$.

Another good site to see what is making money is Late Nite coffee. (or it might be Night, I just have it on speed dial)
Recently locally there was a news story about the old Oshkosh B'Gosh factory where they now make Ugly Christmas skirts from recycled Christmas sweaters. Worth a look.

My jaw is officially on the floor. I can't believe someone paid $20 for that! Seriously?

Absolutely! I am guilty of wearing the ugly Christmas sweater....but then I thought it was cute.

I will ALWAYS pick them up when I see them.

I will definitely have to check it out!

I worked with a lady once who made it a point to wear the ugliest holiday sweaters I'd ever seen: Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas. We could count on her to inflict eye/taste damage :-)

Like others have said congrats on the $20. Ugly Christmas sweater indeed.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! LOL!

One of my best friends has her own collection of Christmas Sweaters... but she thinks they are "cute". From Thanksgiving on she will wear one each and every day to work. Lol!

If you're planning to the coffee house, and simply finding a latte, you need to pay cash pay day uk these behavior traits include not totaling the debt balance on his or her cards, a kind of denial cited by financial expert david bach.
