Sunday Night Chit Chat

Aren't family photos fun?  This is part of a series of photos I used for a family calendar/Christmas gift.

  • Reading:  My track record for reading has been dismal.  At least for entertainment or enjoyment.  I have been reading my professional journals to catch up on my continuing education credits.
  • Watching:  Right now we are watching AX men.  I love Shelby the "Swamp Man".  He is hilarious!
  • Listening to:  I have been listening to Christmas music still (via Pandora) and truth be told my Christmas tree is still up.  :)  It is too pretty to take down and we still enjoy it.

  • Baking/Cooking:  No baking but I have been cooking a bit more.  Since my mom has been staying with us BUT we have been eating out a lot too!

  • Happy you accomplished this week:   I am happy that the stress and anxiety that I have been feeling at the beginning of the week has since gone away!  Prayer and conversations with my husband have helped tremendously.
  • Looking forward to next week:  Having a less stressful week!  Also looking forward to spending time with family.
  • *BONUS QUESTION* What is your favorite board game?  Our favorite game is Scatergories!  Lots of fun, definitely!

Hard to pick, but I'd say our favorite board game is Scrabble. However, the men in the family would say chess.

Absolutely nothing wrong with still having the tree up in my opinion. It's supposed to be all about bringing light into the house during the darker months and January, for me anyway, always feels far, far darker than December. I usually leave mine up until the first week of February, by which time it at least feels like the mornings aren't sort of, kind of thinking about becoming a bit brighter. Since I was away for all of December and rushed before I left, I ended up not putting any decorations up this year but I'm making up for it now with multiple candles burning every evening. :)

I read a lot online and print too. A couple years ago, I read over a hundred books (350 pages each) in a year. Yes, I still do a lot of other things too such as bicycling every week for at least 90 minutes a day 2-7 times a week and 40+ hours on blogging. My favorite board game was and is Monopoly. I embraced it as a career by investing in income property and did very well.

I do enjoy reading but when I start a book I will get nothing else done until I finish it! Good for you for getting your exercise in every day. That is quite an accomplishment . Monopoly is a favorite too. Especially when I am winning :)

Hi Moonwaves,

I still love looking at the Christmas tree and will probably leave it up all of January too. When the days become longer, I will tire of it.... or by then all the lights in the tree will have burnt out. :)

Thanks for stopping by.

My husband loves chess! It requires too much thinking for me... Scrabble is another good game too!
