It is a remarkable thing to actually have your own home to yourself. As previously stated, our daughter and her husband were living with us for about 3 years while daughter was finishing up her degree in nursing school.
They decided to move out last week with our blessing! It is so nice to have the house completely to ourselves....we can do what we want however we want whenever we want. This is the firs time since we have lived here (25 years to be exact) that we have actually been alone as a couple. We are definitely enjoying the empty nest!
Moving out the kids was not without expense. My mom and I went to Walmart and bought them things they needed such as a microwave, cannisters, toaster, mixer and so on....... It cost us each about a hundred bucks.... And of course I had to stock up their pantry so there went another hundred bucks!
The budget is okay.... I just moved some money around and covered the unexpected expenses.
