The Adventure Continues......

It was suppose to happen yesterday.  The long awaited closing of the short sale house. I had finished packing up the items in our house... mostly.   The walls are empty, the closets are full of packed boxes and I have even been hauling boxes out to my son's house in anticipation of the closing and the move.

Well........ we are still here.  There has been no closing, no hauling of boxes, and no move.  Unbelievable. What is the hold up you might ask?  Evidently the original application that we filled out and submitted back in December had expired.  It was only valid for 120 days.  We found this out on Wednesday.  The Mortgage broker brought a new set of papers to my job and we signed them AGAIN.  I re-faxed them back to Mortgage broker the next day along with banking statements, retirement statements, and anything else I could find that I thought they would need!  In total, it was about 120 pages that were faxed.

So.... now the papers have to be RESUBMITTED to the underwriter AGAIN.  That takes 48 hours to review and approve.  And IF that goes well, the Title company gets the papers and they also need 72 hours to review and approve.  So, I have no idea when we will close.  None at all. Only God knows....  I will wait on Him.

Years in the future, you'll laugh at the whole process while enjoying your home.

It's hard now, but I'm glad you're just keeping the faith!

I know that you are frustrated but you are doing everything in your power to make this happen. Just try to relax and enjoy this Easter weekend.

Ugghh. It's always something.
I hope you have a great weekend with your family.
You'll be in that house before you know it.

Holy crap Lisa, that stinks. But it sounds like you have a great attitude, which is a good thing. My daughter just moved all of her stuff to Sarasota, as her husband has already started his new job. It was a lot of packing and unpacking, but she's happy that they are all moved in.

I'm hoping you'll be all moved in soon too! :)! Sending good thoughts your way!!

Geez! If we can put a man on the moon, you'd think we could. . .

Oh never mind! These are BANKS we're talking about, the same folks that brought us the great recession!

I suppose you'll laugh one day, but in the meantime, don't you want to strangle the mortgage industry?

Okay, this too shall pass. I am so sorry about this, but again this too shall pass. Just enjoy Easter is you can. I have a feeling with all the short sale homes out there you will be re-telling this story and giving out advice about this adventure for years to come.

I can't believe it, OMG!! I tell you that there must be something very special about this house and you are being tested to see if you will persevere. Well, I know you WILL persevere and soon you will be UNpacking. But sheesh, what a trial!!
