INVESTOOLS

I am still receiving calls (sales calls and follow up calls) from the INVESTOOL people. I attended a "CELEBRITY CONFERENCE" to learn more about investing in the middle of December 2006. I spent 1999.00 on some packet to help you make money in the stock market. I just could not resist!!

Anyway, I returned the packet and thought that would be it. That was not the case at all. They call about once a week. I have told them that I am an "IMPULSE" shopper and I returned the packet. They are relentless. The people on the phone are smooth talkers, maybe they are in training to do their own seminars!!

Missy,
Whatever you do, don't buy anything from them. In my opinion, based on my experience with them (paid $6,000 +, made NO money, lost lots of paper trading money, but at least didn't lose REAL money other than the $6,000 which I will be paying off my credit card for another 2 years or so), they are crooks who are just out to get your money no matter what. They are great salesmen, but can't deliver the promised benefits, and when called on that, weasel out by saying "you got an expert instructor, 6 months web time, etc." as contracted for.

If you have caller ID, stop picking up the phone when they call. I keep getting calls for the Highway Patrol scam this time of year and I just let 'em ring (unless they wake me up, then I pick up the phone and let 'em have it, then I turn them in to the Do Not Call Registry). If you don't have caller ID, tell the next one that calls you to take you off their list, and tell them you'll report them to the State Attorney General if they call again. It might help.
