Jazzing up the decor

I don't know about you, but for me, my bedroom is usually the last place to get any decorating attention. After awhile, the plain empty walls become "okay" with me and I just get into a mode of acceptance.

It is time for a change and an update. Okay... a change would be the update. The walls are painted a dusty dessert rose... kinda of a purpleish haze thing going on. Kinda. Anyway... the walls need some attention. the are bland.. they need attention.

Looking in my acquired stuff... I found these round ceramicy cementy thingys... They are a off white with a scruffy finish. I thought they would look great over the bed side tables...

Okay.. I like the round cementy thingys.. but it definitely needs something more. So I brought in from the spare room this jade green Fenton vase filled with decorator twigs... Yes... I paid for the twigs. The Fenton vase is a garage sale find. I love the green color.

The end table/corner of the bedroom is looking much better. The bright thingy on the endtable is a wreath with glass decorator balls that reflect the light. I thought I would like it on the bed side table,,, but maybe it looks better on the wall..

Oh, those little round things are so cool! Love it!

Thanks so much for being a part of our Beautiful Life. I know just what you mean about being in a mode of "acceptance" and not even noticing any more that I could make something prettier with a little effort.

blessings,
melissa
