Saturday Morning

I love getting up early and having the house to myself.  I can sit out on the porch drinking my coffee and watch the stars and the full moon.  It is very quiet and peaceful. As the sun rises, I will start cleaning the kitchen, getting the laundry done, and eventually make my way to the gym for a morning of cardio.

Meal  planning and grocery shopping are on the list of things to do today as well.   The freezer is about half way full, so I will try to plan meals around what I already have.  I checked out the food ads for this week, and will stock up on what we need.

Payday was yesterday, and I still have to see where the money is going for the next two weeks.  This pay period , the only bill I have to pay is the power bill, so I will have a good chunk of money to put towards my Credit Card.  Am going to have to factor in money for Christmas as well.

Looking forward to having my grandson come over for a couple of hours today.  He is 18 months old, and the absolute joy of my life!!  When he comes over, we get absolutely  nothing done around here!  It is all about him!

Back to the porch for a few more minutes of solitude.

I had to drive Michael to work this morning at 6:30am so stayed up and enjoyed a peaceful morning with coffee and the newspaper - a luxury that comes once a week at the most. Enjoy your day!

My grandson is 15 months old and we feel the same way. But I definitely don't get anything done on the blog or around the house when he's here.

That is exactly what I do on Sunday mornings...I'm the first one up, and I make my coffee, read the paper, and watch my recorded "money" shows...i.e. suze orman, til debt do us part.

It's definitely relaxing for me...hope you had a wonderful visit with your grandson! :)!

I heart quiet time, which I cherish. Having a 9 month old to a teenage girl its rare in this house.

Doesn't it feel good when you realize you have extra money to buy gifts with:)

Ladies... I think we all agree... quiet morning time alone is the best!!

My "Fortress of Solitude" is our small deck in the twilight hours of the day! While mostly, there are kids running around screaming like banshees... Ever once in a while, my kids and wife go to her parent's house for a visit.

Ahhhh, a very relaxing time for me :)
