Menu Plan Monday ~ Jan 30 With the Help of Pinterest

This is going to be another super easy week for menu planning. Again. My mom's church family wants to bring dinner to my mom during her radiation treatments.

But, I wanted to change things up a bit.  So I found some great recipes via Pinterest.  If you have yet to venture out and explore Pinterest, you should give it a try.  But make sure you have lots of free time, because before you know it..... 2 hours are gone just like that!

I have to say, her church family has really been super duper wonderful throughout this process.  You can see below in green were I will have the night off.  Woot!  Woot!
I am very excited and am looking forward to all the great food that is coming.

Monday: Church member is bringing dinner

Tuesday: Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
Wednesday: Church member is bringing dinner
  Thursday: Garbanzo Burger
Friday: Church member is bringing dinner
Saturday: Baked Ziti
Sunday: Parmesean Crusted Tilapia

We are blessed to have the support of my mom's friends :)

I'm always impressed at your weekly planning of meals. I really can't get more than a day or two out. I think it may be because of my fickle tastebuds, but that's really just me making excuses. And everything looks so tasty! Good luck with the treatments.

That sounds yummy all around. Those folks are really supportive of your mother and I'm happy for all of you. Make sure to send them home with thank you notes!

You know what, I'm really impressed with this church family. Maybe it's something like "cultural differences" but I haven't met with something like that here in Europe. I didn't meet such positive act of goodwill no matter where I was living. I really want to believe I didn't hear about that because this kind of help just wasn't needed but I really wonder if it exists...
It's such a great idea, such a big support. And I'm really glad to hear about that.

Your blog looks REALLY NICE!! Love the colour scheme. I keep hearing so much about Pinterest - I was there once to look at a sewing craft - need to look some more!

My mom's church is so supportive through out this whole process. We are overwhelmed by their love and generosity. For the last month and 1/2, they have provided meals almost every other day. And.... they have also volunteered to take mom to her radiation therapy which consists of 15 daily visits. The church is a small Lutheran church in Orlando. Their membership has the biggest servant's heart I have ever seen! We are so blessed.

I just don't get Pinterest. You need to write a blog post explaining it! :)
