Sunday Night Chit Chat

This was a busy weekend for me.  I had my grandson most of the weekend and we had a blast Saturday picking Strawberries...

  • Reading:  I have been busy reading more stuff for work.  I have to earn Continuing Education Credits to maintain my registries in Ultrasound, so I get those done the first of the year and then I do not have to worry about it.
  •   Watching:   Am planning on watching "Chopped" on the Food Network here in about 30 minutes.
  • Listening to:  Husband is watching a Star Trek movie out in the living room, so I can hear Spock and Scotty!
  • Baking/Cooking:  There was not much cooking last week.  Does Soup and sandwiches count?
  • Happy you accomplished this week:  This week I have been talking to my husband about my stress levels... and how high they are.  We have both come to the conclusion that the job at the college is causing me extra anxiety.  He thinks I should give notice and quit.  All I can think about is the money that won't be coming in.  I will ponder this for a few days and then decide.

  • Looking forward to next week:  Mom starts her chemo again.  It is herceptin and it does not have the side effects of other chemo.  We also see her oncologist and get the results of her tumor markers.  It may not seem like much to be looking forward to... but I see it as positive.  She is still here with us and I get to be a part of her appointments.
  • Thankful for today:  I am thankful that I am able to spend so much time with my grandson!  He gives me such joy.
  • *BONUS QUESTION* Are you an optimist or a pessimist?  I am an optimist.  I know that all that goes on in our day to day lives is under God's control and he will not fail me.
